David Pintor (A Coruña, Spain, 1975) is a cartoonist and illustrator who has received, among other awards, the Society of News Design Award, the Andersen 2015 (Italy), the Nami Island 2013 (Korea), the Pura y Dora Vásquez Award for illustration, the Clermont-Ferrand International Award for travel notebooks, the Città del Sole Illustrator of the Year Award, the 2nd Sharjah Book Fair Award (Dubai) for his illustrations in Almanaque Musical, and the Letterattura per Ragazzi 201 award for best illustrated album, Venezia. He was also a finalist for the CJ Picture Book Awards (2011) and has been included three times in The White Ravens list. He has also been selected on two occasions as a finalist for the Fundación Cuatrogatos Award, and his work has been selected for six editions of the Bratislava Illustration Biennial and four times for the Bologna Children's Book Fair.
